Bloomberg reports that President Trump and his asset managers have executed approximately 28,700 securities transactions during the 17 months since his re-election. During the same period, the total number of transactions by all members of the U.S. Congress was approximately 22,200, meaning Trump's side conducted more transactions.
Unlike his first term, which focused on real estate and unlisted assets, he currently holds thousands of assets including stocks, bonds, and cryptocurrencies. The bill to restrict stock trading for members of Congress, which Trump supports, does not apply to the President.
In the month of June alone, he conducted over 1,000 transactions, purchasing assets such as Berkshire Hathaway, Visa, Mastercard, Palantir, and Syntaas. The largest transaction was the sale of $5 million to $25 million worth of VIG ETF.
One-line summary: An analysis shows that Trump and his asset managers have conducted approximately 28,700 securities transactions in the 17 months since his re-election, which is more than the entire U.S. Congress.
