-----------------------------
The height of Kilimanjaro is 19,710 feet. It is a snow-capped mountain said to be the highest peak on the African continent.
The western peak is called 'Ngajai Ngajai' in the Maasai language, meaning 'the house of God.'
Near the summit of this peak, a horse and a frozen leopard lie.
No one explains what the leopard was searching for in that high place.
- From Hemingway's [The Snows of Kilimanjaro]
-------------------------------
I wondered why a leopard would randomly appear at the summit of Kilimanjaro,
but it seems that the lyricist, Yang In-ja, likely took inspiration from Hemingway's novel [The Snows of Kilimanjaro] when writing these lyrics.
