(Spoiler) Just watched Assassins, and I see why it's getting criticized

There is no cinematic structure or narrative flow at all.
It just feels like a theatrical version of a true crime storytelling show.
The use of actual footage at the end to stir up emotions is a bonus.
There is zero cinematic enjoyment.
