The players' recent slips of the tongue... It's a bit disappointing for both reporters and fans

I understand the sincere passion of fans who want to travel all the way there to cheer, but
bringing military discharge caps—which can be a sensitive topic—all the way to a stadium in Japan (it was caught on camera; fans in the back of the VIP seats had several caps displayed) and making a player wear one and pose for photos... those fans probably didn't realize it would turn out like this.
Regarding the female reporters interviewing Lee Gi-hyeok and Yang Min-hyeok, if they had considered that the players might get agitated and asked something to lighten the mood, like "With this gold medal win, you've gained a significant benefit compared to others performing their sacred national defense duties; how do you feel about that..", perhaps even those mindless players would have felt a sting of conscience and offered some polite, diplomatic responses.
