Why did Ryze go in alone during the end of Set 2?

If Ryze goes in alone, of course he's going to get focused down.
Shouldn't he have gone in with the other teammates...
He wasn't even in a bush; he went to a position that was way too obvious.
Was his judgment clouded because the situation was so urgent? Hmm...
