My daughter's cross country interscholastic competition

I've occasionally seen movies based on true stories about cross country teams on YouTube movie channels..
This time, my daughter joined the cross country team after trying out when she started 6th grade (7th grade/1st year of middle school).
Well, they call it a tryout... but it felt like everyone who submitted an application got in.
Anyway, there was an interscholastic competition today with a total of 12 middle schools participating.
The place they were running was actually the field behind the school, haha.
It's a race where they run through hills and grass..
I heard a total of 200 students from 12 schools participated today.
It was my first time seeing it in person, and it was a fun experience.
My daughter placed 128th out of 200.
LOL.
Since it was 2.5 miles, it must be a little less than 4km.
Seeing the middle schoolers running with sweat pouring down their faces made me feel so proud of them.
The weather here was perfect autumn weather.
I hope everyone has a great run.
