Controversy Surrounding Samsung Electronics Single-Stock Leverage ETFs

No translation in your language yet — showing the English version

There is much talk about how Kim Yong-beom, the former Presidential Policy Chief,
was the driving force behind the introduction of single-stock leverage ETFs.
Typically, ETFs include various related stocks such as defense, AI, aerospace, banking, and electric vehicles,
which is why they are also called a "basket."
However, with a Samsung Electronics single-stock leverage ETF, one must only buy and sell Samsung Electronics.
And since it is a leverage product, it must be bought and sold at 2x exposure.
If I buy 1 share of Samsung leverage, the underwriter must buy 2 shares of Samsung Electronics.
If I sell 1 share of Samsung leverage, the underwriter must sell 2 shares of Samsung Electronics.
This is why the KOSPI index has been so volatile.
The Korean stock market has become a gambling den, regardless of the actual state of the Korean economy.
Even a KOSPI of 7,000 is too high.
We should start again from below 5,000.
