Why Starbucks' "Tank Day" would be fine if we follow Director Heo Jin-ho's logic.txt

Director Heo says there are no scenes in the movie that depict Park Chung-hee's intervention.
He claims the expression "higher-ups in the KCIA" does not necessarily refer to Park Chung-hee.
He says he never even imagined such a thing.
The same applies to Starbucks.
One could argue that because a tank tumbler was released, using the term "Tank Day" during the marketing process just happened to coincide with May 18th by chance.
There was no direct mention that "Tank Day" was intended to target the Gwangju Democratization Movement, right?
However, there is such a thing as reading between the lines.
Starbucks immediately admitted it and apologized.
They fired the CEO, and the Chairman offered a formal apology.
What about Director Heo Jin-ho?
He blames the audience, saying he never thought a human being would interpret it that way.
He would at least be dignified if he had said, "I directed it in a way that such an interpretation is possible; I feel sorry for the bereaved families, but it is freedom of expression."
This is truly pathetic.
What if Chung Yong-jin of Starbucks had said,
"I didn't think a human being would see 'Tank Day' and think of the Gwangju Democratization Movement"?
