Impressions of the Japanese Mystery Novel "Another S"

"Another" was successful enough to be adapted into both a comic and an anime, and this is its sequel, "Another Episode S."
The plot follows the events after the case in "Another" was resolved, as the female protagonist, Mei Misaki, tells the male protagonist about incidents she experienced during a school break prior to the original case's resolution.
In the case of "Another," it was an impressive blend of horror and mystery, featuring plenty of blood, cruelty, mystery, deduction through clues, and surprising twists.
However, this "Another S" shows a somewhat "bland" (?) progression compared to the previous work.
There are quite a few elements that are difficult to understand if you haven't seen the previous work, so there is no real need to read it if you haven't seen the original.
Since the content of this work serves as a bridge connecting the original work to the official sequel, and the official sequel has not yet been released in Korea, it is awkward to recommend it even to those who have read the original.
In conclusion, once the official sequel is released, you should read this for better understanding; until then, there is no need to go out of your way to read it.
