[Opinion] Military Service Exemptions Must Be Maintained
All opposing opinions and insults are correct.
For your information, I completed my 30-month mandatory service.
Service number 76xxxxxx
Also, for 20 years, I have consistently argued
that soldiers' salaries should be at least 1.5 million won.
I argue that this is necessary so that when they are discharged,
they can use that money for university tuition or, in the case of high school graduates, as seed money for a business.
Reasons to maintain exemptions:
1. The wrongdoings and perceptions of a few individuals are cutting off the very roots of countless athletes and artists.
2. In the future, the foundation of elite sports in our country will be shaken.
3. It is difficult enough to become a city or provincial representative, but to become a national athlete and prove one is the best in Asia,
they shed blood, sweat, and tears that ordinary people cannot even imagine.
4. This looks like nothing more than agitation, especially since I heard members of the National Assembly even drafted legislation just to maintain popularity.
To be honest, both progressives and conservatives are just people blinded by their badges.
When it comes to bills that actually help citizens' daily lives—
crime-related bills,
tax-related bills,
housing-related bills,
administrative-related bills, etc.—
they just turn a blind eye and line up for political gain,
yet these members of the National Assembly are the first to lead the charge in agitated public opinion just to put their names on it.
It's disgusting.
