Honestly, wouldn't everyone be better off if basic income existed?

If we tell robots to do the work
and everyone gets a basic income from the money robots earn,
we wouldn't have to work and could travel all year round.
Isn't this the kind of world everyone wants?
So why are people trying to reject basic income?
Isn't it stranger to reject it?
