I'm watching episode 1 of "Deuljwi" (Mouse), is it worth continuing? (Mild Spoilers)

‌A famous author living under a hidden identity
entrusts all their assets to a friend,
only to be betrayed by that friend.
It's so painful to watch,
but is this a work worth continuing with?
No matter how close the friends are,
putting the house in the friend's name...
putting all the assets in the friend's name...
Why?? Why??
I seriously cannot understand this..
