People criticizing Son Heung-min about retirement are seriously weird

Unless Son Heung-min's performance is overwhelmingly inferior, I don't get it.
Who is playing better than Son Heung-min right now? Who is he blocking from moving forward?
Even in the match against Uzbekistan just a few days ago, Son was the one who scored. If he hadn't scored that,
we might have lost, but there's no one else to score lol.
Who exactly are they saying he should hand his spot to and retire for?
In real life, Son is overwhelmingly well-liked, but it feels like online communities are just
full of weird people.
