How much resistance would Taiwan offer if China invaded?

There are certainly geographical advantages,
and it is a country capable of developing and producing its own missiles and drones.
If they have the will, it seems like they could hold out against China,
but the unknown factor is how much Taiwan would unite in resistance and how many pro-China factions exist.
The US is likely also concerned about that point when providing weapons support to Taiwan.
