If Yoon Suk-yeol's election invalidation is finalized, the People Power Party must return 39.7 billion won in election expenses reimbursed by the National Election Commission (NEC) during the 20th presidential election.
Article 135-2 of the Public Official Election Act stipulates that if an elected official receives a final sentence of election invalidation due to a fine of 1 million won or more for election crimes, the affiliated political party must return the costs reimbursed by the NEC.
