The Primary Culprit Behind the Prevalence of Staying Single

I believe the primary culprit that contributed to staying single becoming the mainstream, as it is now, is the 2000s US drama "Sex and the City."
While the story follows four female protagonists and deals with their romantic lives, there is no actual love in this work. It is solely about the comparison of lifestyles for show, suggesting that as long as a woman has a few female friends, she can live happily without any issues, and men are merely subjects for critique based on how much they can provide.
When this boom hit Korea at the time, the image of three or four women gathering every week to chat at expensive restaurants became the symbol of a successful, urban young woman.
Before this bizarre work, the natural structure of a drama was a romance where the male and female leads ultimately kept marriage in mind as the final goal, a trope that had been maintained for decades because it captured human nature.
Due to the bizarre work "Sex and the City," these romantic feelings and love became seen as old-fashioned styles, and I wonder if those women, now wrinkled, are truly happy.
A home needs young people bustling about to be full of vitality; a home where people marry but don't have children, leaving only two elderly people, is the definition of gloom.
Anyway, this is just my personal opinion and my own thoughts.
