I walked more than 30,000 steps in a day.

Yesterday, I walked more than 30,000 steps..
I went to Baekdamsa Temple and Sokcho with my group yesterday..
I walked round trip from the Baekdamsa parking lot to the temple..
And I walked from Sokcho Beach to Daepo Port..
Walking like that, I ended up exceeding 30,000 steps..
This is the most I have ever walked since I started using this app..
For a healthy person, this wouldn't be anything special..
However, I am a person with hemiplegia due to a cerebral infarction and am disabled..
I suffered a cerebral infarction last April, and as I was rushed to the hospital within 30 hours..
The resulting hemiplegia was very severe..
Because the right-side hemiplegia was so severe..
I couldn't move well, couldn't speak well, and couldn't even go to the bathroom alone..
I was in a state where I couldn't do anything without a caregiver by my side 24 hours a day..
I was hospitalized in the neurology intensive care unit of a university hospital for two weeks..
When I started rehabilitation, I went to the rehab room in a wheelchair..
In preparation for the possibility of not being able to use my right side at all..
I received training to do everything with my left hand..
Even just picking up an empty water cup with my right hand and bringing it to my mouth was impossible..
It was at a level where my whole body would be drenched in sweat after just a few attempts..
Nevertheless, after moving to a specialized rehabilitation hospital, I worked really hard on my rehab..
And even without anyone telling me to, I started walking a lot..
I am still undergoing rehabilitation now, and I am continuously improving..
People who have seen me since my initial cerebral infarction are surprised by my speed of recovery..
And people who have only seen me recently don't even realize I am a hemiplegic patient unless I tell them..
They are shocked when I say I have hemiplegia..
Even yesterday, people told me to take the bus if it seemed too hard..
At Sokcho Beach, they told me not to get off the tour bus and just stay on it if I was tired..
But I walked along with everyone without exception..
People who haven't seen me in a long time don't even think about my hemiplegia;
Instead, they tell me that my lower body muscles seem to have decreased a lot and that I should do weight training..
I have improved this much..
And I will get even better..
Lastly, the biggest reason I am rehabilitating so hard with strong willpower is..
My children..
A few days after being discharged from the university hospital and before going to the specialized rehab hospital, I was at home..
My daughter told me, "Dad, get well soon so we can go on a trip on an airplane together."
Actually, before the hemiplegia occurred, we had planned a trip to Jeju Island..
But I had to cancel everything because I got sick just before we were supposed to fly..
Well, although my physical condition hasn't returned to 100% yet..
I am traveling a lot with my children~^^
