I am a Son fan, but here is what he is doing wrong

No translation in your language yet — showing the English version

1. He went to the MLS because of the North America World Cup.
I thought he would retire from the national team if he performed poorly in North America,
but he hasn't. Griezmann retired while moving to the MLS.
Of course, the talent pools are different, but I just don't get it.
Either he should terminate his MLS contract and return to Europe for lower wages,
or something like that. Instead, he is trying to enjoy his status based on his previous fame
while losing his competitive edge.
2. Problems involving him keep arising,
but instead of clearly stating his position, he only posts things on Instagram
that sound like he's just performing for the fans. As a leader, he shouldn't act like that.
Someone of Son Heung-min's caliber shouldn't be easily pushed around by a manager.
But when problems arise because of that, instead of taking responsibility as captain,
it feels like he avoids them through media play.
That's why resentment builds up among the junior players. Since he fights advantageous battles
by leaning on public opinion, the juniors' dissatisfaction will naturally grow.
3. Business failure.
Ever since his clothing business, he wasn't a global star, but he relied only on domestic fans
and ended up failing in the clothing business.
Businesses can fail.
But given his age, he should be retiring from the national team,
yet I can't help but suspect if he can't let go because of advertisements and such.
Of course, I acknowledge that his ticket power
and brand value are beyond compare, but even if Captain Son is still here,
a Son playing in the MLS will gradually lose his charm. I suspect he is
delaying his retirement because he fears that.
It would be better if he showed a magnanimous side—like serving in a supporting role,
not minding if he doesn't start, or letting any junior player do interviews.
But seeing him leave without a word again,
as a fan who truly wants Team Korea to become stronger, it's just unfortunate.
Of course, I don't think Son is more at fault than the '96 line.
