The sheer economic power of Japan during its absolute peak is insane

Indicators from 1994, when Japan's nominal GDP reached its absolute peak.
It was beyond impressive; it was at a level that felt surreal.
Even though their population was less than one-tenth of China's, their total economic power was 8 times greater.
It was truly the difference between heaven and hell.
However, this was Japan's final peak,
and after 1995, the bubble burst massively, leading them into the "Lost 31 Years" (which is still ongoing...).
Actually, this is a nominal indicator, and the real economy had already gone to hell after the 1990 bubble burst (the "Lost 36 Years")...
It's honestly mind-blowing that we have reached an era where Korea is actually wealthier than Japan.
It's no wonder the elderly in Japan and the figures from the Meiji era resting in their graves would be absolutely speechless.
