20km Run (17km Tempo Run)

Since I pushed 15km at a 4:15 pace last time, I wanted to increase it by 2km and push up to 17km today. I planned and ran with a 2km warmup, 17km at a 4:15-4:20 pace, and a 1km cooldown.
A 4:15 pace is still a bit intimidating for me. I'm trying to get comfortable with it until 4:15 becomes my steady-state pace. So, while running today, I kept trying to hypnotize(?) myself by thinking, "4:15 is just my usual, familiar pace" to endure it.
As always, my body loosened up more toward the end and it became manageable. I pushed close to a 4:10 pace at the very end, and it felt encouraging because it didn't feel like I was completely redlining. As a result, my average pace during the main interval was around 4:13. For now, I think I can somehow manage to push through to a half marathon at this pace.
I think I was able to run according to plan because the weather has been cool lately, and I also had the energy from eating a large pizza bread after dinner last night lol
