Why I am not particularly surprised by the Jeju missing person police issue

First, let me make it clear that it is an obvious mistake by the police to have closed the case arbitrarily without properly verifying the disappearance, and I have absolutely no intention of defending them.
(I have written this in bold because there are idiots who fail to see it even when it is written at the very beginning of a post)
However, the reason I am not particularly surprised by the police issue regarding the disappearance in Jeju is this:
It is even more shocking that the prosecutors who framed a person living a perfectly normal life as a civil servant in Seoul as a spy and pressured them with fake evidence have not received commensurate punishment and are currently working openly as lawyers.
When I see traditional media or people on broadcasts foaming at the mouth and overreacting now, after staying silent and never once pointing out the issues with prosecutorial authority, I wonder if they have a disease that prevents them from saying a single word about the prosecutors' wrongdoings.
The police officer at the center of the current issue will clearly receive appropriate punishment, but my question is: Did the prosecutors who clearly committed crimes in the past receive proper punishment?!!!!
