The thing I envy most as a single person

A family where people married young, had children, and live happily
This is truly a matter of instinct,
so when I see a happy family, I sometimes wonder, "Am I truly a failure?"
But sometimes I see families where a man's masculinity has been stripped away
and he is living a life of being "slaughtered,"
which makes me think, "Maybe I'm better off?"
Even at this age, over 50, I still get marriage proposals,
and people around me tell me to get married even now,
but when I finally pluck up the courage to go on a blind date or an introduction,
setting aside looks, I think, "Could I actually endure that woman's stubbornness and haughtiness?"
The thought of my remaining life makes me feel fearful.
Instead of a couple who met young and smoothed each other's edges through bickering,
if two "stones" that have grown jagged and selfish while living alone try to live together,
I don't think they could ever adjust to each other until they die.
That's why they say it's better to marry young.
