Trump becoming president is a stroke of luck for Korea.

To be honest, Korea is the country that has benefited the most since Trump took office.
First of all, by causing wars to break out all over the world,
the defense and shipbuilding sectors have experienced a dramatic revival,
and thanks to the AI boom, sectors like semiconductors (memory) and electrical equipment have also seen significant benefits.
Furthermore, Korea is holding its ground because Trump is strongly blocking semiconductor equipment [exports to competitors].
If Trump had been lax about that during his first term,
we would have already lost to China.
What people misunderstand is that the memory semiconductor business
is almost 90% about the equipment.
Process know-how is something that naturally accumulates as you work.
The reason other countries cannot compete with Korea in memory semiconductors is that
while "capital power" is a huge factor,
if China—a country that also possesses massive capital power—
could have imported semiconductor equipment like ASML, AMAT, and Lam Research, there is a high possibility they would have already won the chicken game.
