Woobang will likely be the biggest beneficiary of the expansion to a 3-game playoff format
With Kang Yi-seul playing alongside Kim Dan-bi, they have an offensive power and veteran experience that will even make it difficult for a defensively strong team like KB to stop.
The squad has improved compared to last year when they were optimized for short series with Wi Seong-woo; although their depth is still the thinnest, if they can make the top 4 in the regular season, they will be contenders for the championship.
The foreign players—Mako, Nana, and Woobang—are well-selected to cover each other's weaknesses, so the thin squad depth might not be as apparent in short-series play.
They face Fujitsu for the first time tomorrow, and I think it's the first time Kang Yi-seul and Kim Dan-bi are playing the Park Shin-ja Cup together, so I'm looking forward to it.
Everyone probably expected KB to move up, but as expected, Woobang is the one.
