As the general election approaches, there will be calls for Lee Jae-myung to leave the party
Members of the National Assembly
mistakenly believe
they are people working for the country,
but they are
just office workers like us.
If they don't get elected,
they are unemployed.
So,
once party approval ratings overtake the People Power Party
and the President's approval rating stays in the 30% range,
as the general election approaches,
the lawmakers will tell the President to leave the party.
If the party leadership opposes that,
the Democratic Party will face a split.
I think
Cho Kuk will have a hard time;
he doesn't understand realpolitik well enough.
However,
I believe the Cho Kuk Reform Party has potential.
If they don't make blunders
and maintain a reformist stance,
they will see significant growth during the general election.
Of course,
since I am
a member of the Democratic Party,
I won't leave the party
until it splits.
Only Lee Jae-myung
has escaped.
