Looks like there's another uproar over Park We lately lol

It's truly terrifying how people flock together to dogpile and destroy someone once they've picked a target.
I personally don't like Park We's look (snake eyes) and I don't understand why people go to watch his lectures, but
the social atmosphere that pushes people to the brink of suicide whenever something happens is scary. I wonder if this is a result of the development of the internet and SNS..
Is it particularly bad in Korea, or is it like this abroad too? The thing where they dogpile someone until they die once an incident occurs?
