Problems with the Relocation of the Gwangju Military Airport

No translation in your language yet — showing the English version

The Gwangju military airport was originally scheduled to be relocated toward Muan Airport.
However, in an attempt to establish the Honam Semiconductor Cluster and begin semiconductor production within the current administration's term,
an unreasonable move was made.
Since a new military airport near Muan Airport has not been prepared, fighter jets and educational facilities from the Gwangju base must be temporarily deployed elsewhere for several years, but it is said that other military airports lack the capacity.
In particular, it is reported that there is even less leeway now that the deployment of the KF-21 has begun.
While it is called "temporary deployment," if they are crammed into spaces where they cannot even be used, a national security vacuum could occur.
The second problem is that we have no leverage over the US military site within the Gwangju military airport and must plead with them.
Today, the President again ordered the timeline to be moved up, so it seems something the US wanted might have been granted.
Aside from the five trials he is to face after leaving office, if he is indicted again, it will likely be over the Gwangju military airport relocation issue.
