The reason why they are calling to stop the broadcast of the drama

A National Assembly petition has emerged calling for the suspension of the drama <Doctor X: Age of the White Mafia>
on the grounds that it uses the May 18 Democratization Movement as its subject matter.
On the actual drama message boards, crude criticisms such as "It's a leftist drama" and "Were they communists?" have been posted.
The current situation—where discussions are held in the National Assembly that distort the May 18 Democratization Movement as a "civil unrest" or casually claim that Chun Doo-hwan's coup was not an insurrection—along with the media's tendency to defend the past dictatorship, is creating the fertile ground for this.
