It is clear that Naver users are aging

‌It is clearly evident in the comments.
Recently, Naver Clips has been running events where they give out points for watching videos to try and boost activity. While watching many Shorts-style videos on Naver lately, I noticed something.
When looking at Shorts of rookie idols who are currently popular with teenagers, people leave malicious comments saying they don't know who those idols are.
There is also a certain mindset felt in the comments. For example, in the comments of drama Shorts where a character is clearly portrayed as a "kkondae" (condescending older person) or a villain, people over-identify with the villain, claiming "it's all for the sake of the family" to fiercely defend them. They then vilify the opposing character who criticizes them as being ungrateful.
This is a distorted Confucian ideology that at least the MZ generation cannot empathize with, but seeing that the majority of commenters hold such views, it is clear what the age demographic is.
