The Truth Behind President Lee Jae-myung's Fury

No translation in your language yet — showing the English version

The incident regarding the President's "fury" is what made me feel deeply disappointed in President Lee Jae-myung.
Around the Lunar New Year earlier this year, rumors from a "Blue House official" persisted for several days, claiming that the President was enraged because the Democratic Party had proposed Jun Jun-cheol—the lawyer who defended Ssangbangwool's Kim Seong-tae—as a candidate for the comprehensive special prosecutor.

Among the "New Jae-myungs," there was an uproar as they tried to tear Rep. Lee Seong-yun apart.
Although Jun Jun-cheol is a former special crimes prosecutor, he is a prosecutor who leans more toward the anti-Yoon faction rather than the pro-Yoon faction.
The recommendation for a special prosecutor is the responsibility of the Democratic Party's floor leader, yet Lee Seong-yun was treated like a criminal simply for making the recommendation, and Party Leader Jung Chung-rae apologized as if he had committed a mortal sin.
Anyone within the party, not just Lee Seong-yun, could have recommended a candidate, but he took all the criticism for it.
This happened during the transition of the floor leader from Kim Byung-ki to Han Byeong-do, so the vetting process was simply inadequate; furthermore, that level of vetting could have been sufficiently coordinated in advance by the Blue House Civil Affairs Office, but the Civil Affairs Office missed it.
However, why on earth would the President be enraged over a comprehensive special prosecutor? It is not as if they are investigating the President.
At the time, Jun Jun-cheol actually found it baffling, wondering, "If they look at the Supreme Prosecutors' Office records, they will understand everything, so why are they acting like this?"
A few days later, the Blue House belatedly corrected this, stating, "The President does not get enraged like that,"
But looking at him lately, he seems to have intermittent explosive disorder, so it seems likely that he was indeed enraged.
At the time, I wondered why there was a need to be so angry, but now the pieces of the puzzle are falling into place.
The President felt burdened because Jun Jun-cheol knows the substantive truth regarding the Ssangbangwool North Korea remittance case.
It appears highly likely that the Ssangbangwool case is not a case of fabricated prosecution by the prosecution.
