My heart aches after being rejected on a blind date

I went on my first blind date, but I got rejected.
I thought the second date was a go, but I got a message today
saying that it would be difficult to meet again.
I think they probably accepted out of politeness, but after some thought,
they finally made their decision.
Dating is truly difficult.
How do you recover your mental state after being rejected on a blind date??
Should I just consider this part of the experience
and try to let it go indifferently..
