Comparing Lee Jong-beom in his prime to Kim Do-young's popularity is ridiculous

I'm not even a Lee Jong-beom fan, but
in terms of pure skill, it's obviously Kim Do-young.
However, Lee Jong-beom's popularity back then
is something Kim Do-young will never surpass unless he goes to the Majors and hits about 30 home runs.
Lee Jong-beom even did tons of TV commercials,
something today's baseball players can't even dream of.
