Time to pay attention to the Korea Meteorological Administration's typhoon information...
Today is Chuseo, one of the solar terms. It has been raining in most areas. The weather is going crazy.
Typhoon Shavell is a Category 4 according to the SSHWS classification. The maximum wind speed is 209 km/h.
Including tropical depressions, at least four are currently active. They will either remain as tropical depressions or grow into typhoons...
Tropical depressions are accompanied by a lot of warm water vapor and strong winds. As a tropical depression grows into a typhoon, it carries vast amounts of water vapor toward the continent.
When this transforms into an extratropical cyclone, all that water vapor turns into heavy rainfall.
If it falls slowly like a drizzle, it is romantic, but if it pours all at once, it immediately becomes a disaster.
It causes landslides and wind/flood damage.
