Does he mean he won a gold medal, got exempted from military service, and therefore didn't have to step on a landmine?
Since football is played almost entirely with your feet, landmines are important...
But even if one is immature, can they really be this lacking in common sense?
Forget the gold medal, I'd feel better if he just naturalized to China like some others.
I am ashamed to be a fellow South Korean citizen,
and it makes my blood boil to think that I have to provide him with prize money and a pension through my hard-earned taxes.
