Do people often tend to avoid high-satisfaction services?

No translation in your language yet — showing the English version

When people use a service, do they often avoid high-satisfaction services and instead choose highly unsatisfying ones? Why is that?
To compare international cultures, if you had to choose one grade between Taiwan's THSR and Japan's Shinkansen, are there many people here who would choose the former? Looking at it now, Taiwan's THSR seems to be around 70 points—not a zero that would fall under "highly unsatisfying," but it definitely doesn't reach a perfect 100 like the Shinkansen.
This is because while the trains are similar, Shinkansen conductors greet passengers very kindly when they board, whereas THSR is not like that at all; it feels like they barely acknowledge passengers when they get on or off.
In fact, are there many people who, when choosing between the two mentioned, opt for the Taiwanese style rather than the Japanese culture?
