I feel like the appearance standards of Asians have improved compared to the past

It seems that the combination of indoor activities and improved nutrition has had a massive effect.
Additionally, people do get procedures and makeup,
but those alone can't fundamentally change skin elasticity or one's overall impression.
Anyway, the appearance standards of Asians have definitely skyrocketed compared to the past.
This contrasts with Caucasians, who haven't changed much since the 70s.
There's a reason why Koreans have taken over the global idol scene.
A very blunt example of this is the difference in appearance between North and South Korea.
Since North Korea is in the north, they should have fair skin and larger builds,
but because outdoor activities are frequent and it is the least developed country,
people look extremely haggard and aged.
When you see North Korean female soccer players, their faces are quite a sight.
It's not just a matter of being unattractive; their faces look strangely sagging;
On top of that, although it's a tiny minority, mixed heritage with Caucasians
must have had some influence as well.
In Southeast Asia, the difference is even greater due to mixing with Northeast Asians.
Kids in Thailand and Vietnam used to look almost like Black people,
but now, due to significant racial mixing and improved living standards,
their appearance has risen significantly to look like decent civilized people.
