Galaxy SmartTag supports iOS

I am currently using the Galaxy SmartTag2.
As of a few months ago, location tracking didn't work on non-Galaxy Android phones or iPhones?!??
Since they said the new SmartTag3 would support iOS,
I tried tracking the location via the SmartThings app on my iPhone just in case, and it works well.
Did they unlock the rest to coincide with the 3?
Or was I mistaken? It definitely didn't work when I tried a few months ago.
Anyway, it's convenient since it works on non-Galaxy devices now.
