Some thoughts on the Asian Games baseball...

We had an exhibition game at Gocheok Dome between the national team and Sangmu.
Oh Won-seok pitched 1 inning, allowing 4 hits and 2 runs.
Bae Chan-seung
recorded 0.1 innings, 5 hits, and 4 runs,
which was a disastrous level where I don't even know why he was selected..
Aside from that,
LG's Kim Young-woo
and Lotte's Choi Jun-yong are also not in good shape,
so Kim Young-woo, Choi Jun-yong, Oh Won-seok, and Bae Chan-seung
are expected to only pitch against Hong Kong or Thailand.
Moon Bo-gyeong and Yoon Dong-hee
are also in a state where their batting sense has dropped significantly.
KIA's Kim Do-young will be placed as the leadoff hitter,
and Lotte's Kim Jin-uk will be used in the bullpen.
Starters - Kwak Bin, Choi Min-seok, So Hyeong-jun
Winning Setup - Kim Jin-uk, Seong Young-tak, Cho Byeong-hyeon
"Garbage" Unit - Oh Won-seok, Bae Chan-seung, Kim Young-woo, Choi Jun-yong
Closer - Park Young-hyeon
For the most important final against Taiwan, the starter
must be Kwak Bin.
For the games against Japan and China, the starters will be
So Hyeong-jun and Choi Min-seok.
Since Choi Min-seok's pace seems better,
there is a high probability that Choi Min-seok will start against Japan.
Taiwan is shouting "Down with Korea" and has a trio of pitchers
playing in the Japanese league: Hsu Lo-shih, Ku Lin-rui-yang, and Sun Yu-wei.
They tried to call up Boston shortstop Zheng Zhong-ze,
but all attempts failed.
Zheng Zhong-ze was on the national team roster
but was recently removed.
Japan's Yakult pitcher Hsu Hsiang-cheng,
Hanwha's Wang Yen-cheng,
and Arizona Triple-A's Lin Yu-min
have joined the national team.
Watching Lee Dae-ho's YouTube, he said that if Hsu Lo-shih and Ku Lin-rui-yang
show up, it will be hard for Korean players to hit them,
so this seems like a bad sign for Korea.
The national baseball team players
are staying in hotels instead of the Athletes' Village.
Because Japan saved on hosting costs,
they didn't build an Athletes' Village, so they are using hotels.
Palestine is participating in the Asian Games for the first time,
but since they are Palestinians residing in the US,
they will likely perform better than
Thailand, the Philippines, or Hong Kong.
