Could those who have experienced shingles please take a look?

‌I've had pain in my side since two days ago, so I went to the hospital for an examination,
but they said nothing was wrong and just gave me some simple medication.
However, when I looked last night, shingles started breaking out around the painful area.
(It started from my side, spread a little to my back, and even to the epigastric area in the front)
I went straight to the hospital and got some medicine, so I am taking it on schedule.
What I'm curious about is, is it correct that this gets better just by taking medicine??
The pain itself is less than it was two days ago, and I don't have itching, blisters, or fever yet..
I also haven't received the shingles vaccine.
However, do I have Herpes Type 1??
I am a carrier, so it tends to break out around my lips when I am tired or overexerted.
Given my age, I suddenly got quite scared, so I am posting this.
