I was watching Ha Hyun-seung on You Quiz, why on earth didn't he go to the US?

On You Quiz,
they said that for Ha Hyun-seung,
besides the signing bonus,
they offered unlimited round-trip flights between Korea and the US
and even provided a house.
On top of that, they even gave him a handwritten letter from the owner.
They were offering him top-tier treatment,
so I don't understand why he turned that down to go to the KBO.
