How do you make a final decision when getting second opinions from multiple hospitals?

Whether it is an athlete or a layperson, if someone receives consultations from multiple places for a single symptom, how is the final diagnosis usually made?
Even if one visits about 3 or 4 different places, how do you determine the correct answer regarding what the symptom is and what treatment should be administered?
I usually proceed with treatment immediately after visiting just one place, so I am curious.
