When I see people insisting that Japanese food is delicious

Even a Japanese person I know says they rarely eat out because it doesn't suit their palate.
They say they prefer subtle, light flavors.
They even go as far as to indirectly comment on the taste by saying things like "it's a bit salty."
If even Japanese people say this, then it's game over.
