There is a subtle difference between those born in the early vs. late 90s.
I was born in the mid-90s,
and I've encountered many people born in the early and late 90s in society.
There is actually a significant difference here.
It feels like those born in the early 90s are the borderline for a certain sense of maturity.
The older guys from this generation aren't that much older, but they often have a bit of an "old school" vibe.
Sadly, they are a "sandwich generation" who, by a hair's breadth, missed out on institutional benefits—receiving less in National Pension compared to previous generations, while also receiving fewer youth benefits compared to those born after the late 90s.
Also, they are the last generation that could meaningfully enjoy the Korea-Japan World Cup, which was the greatest festival in the history of the Korean Peninsula.
As for me, I had nothing to enjoy other than faint memories.
In many ways, I think they are the last generation that possesses both pity and romance at the same time.
To be honest, the quality of life for those born in the late 90s is much better than those born in the early 90s.
Through various routes like school, the military, and society, they are a generation that can feel a distinct improvement due to a stroke of luck.
And you can really feel that individualism has increased sharply starting from this generation lol
I even occasionally see people who are almost 30 acting like kids lol
