There was a new recruit during my military service whose paternal relative was a Corps Commander

Was it the 7th Corps Commander...
Normally, when a new recruit arrives, they have an interview with the Command Sergeant Major, who is like the "mother" of the unit.
But they told us to come to the Battalion Commander's office lol
Since I was a squad leader,
I had to escort the new recruit to the Battalion Commander's office.
But wait, on the way there, the Command Sergeant Major had already come out early to meet us and took him away.
Just in case, I was lingering outside the Battalion Commander's office,
and the interview with the new recruit went on for quite a long time.
Even though there was some distance, I could hear everything clearly:
"Lieutenant Colonel!!! This is [Name]!" I could hear it very, very loudly lol
(It felt like they had already been notified)
But that guy didn't show off at all,
and I was discharged after watching him serve diligently.
Back then, whenever the Company Commander or other officers saw him, they would smile a lot and ask how he was doing.
From the Battalion Commander's perspective, it must have been quite awkward lol
Seeing the new recruit reminded me of that.
