(Question) It feels like there is an unprecedented boom in Korean mystery novels lately

I consider myself quite a connoisseur, having read Anglo-American classics since the 2000s and later diving into Japanese "honkaku" mystery novels.
While checking for new releases in the mystery/detective genre, I've noticed a significant increase in the number of mystery novels written by Korean authors.
Up until about 10 years ago, the atmosphere was more like, "Oh, they're starting to come out..." but lately, it feels like there are more works by Korean authors than by foreign ones.
To be honest, though, the quality of the Korean mystery novels that occasionally appeared in the early 2010s wasn't great, so I stopped reading them altogether. I'm wondering how they are these days...
Are there any mystery novel lovers here who could evaluate the quality of recent works by Korean authors?
Perhaps in comparison to the works of Japanese authors imported to Korea.
I usually focus on winners of awards like the "This Mystery is Great!" award, the Honkaku Mystery Award, and the Top 10 bestsellers, and I've rarely been disappointed by them—I've enjoyed them all. How would the quality of Korean works compare to those kinds of books?
