Detroit is in a tight spot due to the Durren contract

‌
1. They need to run on the timeline where Cunningham is available
2. Jalen Durren clearly showed his limitations in the last playoffs
3. He has become a bit of a "bone of contention" position, where it's awkward to sign him to a limited FA contract for a huge sum
4. However, the Detroit front office is trying to lowball Durren to sign him cheaply without having any alternatives
5. That behavior actually ended up offending Durren
6. In the end, after all the friction, it resulted in a 5-year, $200m contract LOL
Despite seeing Durren's limitations in the playoffs, the front office only succeeded in exposing their own incompetence by lowballing him without an alternative and ending up with a $200m contract
I wonder how they'll deal with that if Durren shows no improvement next season lol
