If a kid says you're their ideal type, it means you're handsome, right?

I went to a close older brother's house, and his youngest daughter—a 3rd grader—saw a man and told her dad, "That's my ideal type, I'm going to marry him when I grow up." He felt a bit slighted by that. Apparently, similar things have happened a few times before.
Being popular even with kids...
They say children can't lie about people's looks.
At this point, anyone would agree that the man is handsome, right?
