The Reality of Korean Age / Chinese Bad Customs Discarded by Neighboring Countries
*International/Man Age (Real) = 2026 - Birth Year (N). Age from the birthday of the current year, representing one's own life cycle. Joseon Age - 1
*Counting Age (Fake) = From one's birth zodiac sign until the Year of the Horse after the Lunar New Year in 2026, counting the 1st energy, 2nd energy... N+1 energy.
Lunar origin is China. A concept discarded by neighboring countries (non-human animal zodiac rankings like Rat, Ox, Tiger, Rabbit, Dragon, Snake, Horse, Sheep, Monkey, Rooster, Dog, Pig; pre-modern serf class status)
*Joseon Age (Fake) = Because people failed to adapt to the transition from Lunar to Solar calendars based on birthdays, they use January 1st as a standard.
1st year, 2nd year, 3rd year.... N+1 year. Building/object age or grade. A "year count" that is distorting human age.
Since the minimum counting age or Joseon age is fake, I hope it gets improved, but it seems there are still people who cannot even find the basis of their own life cycle and instead distort counting age into "year age" or live with fakes. Faith in China.

Pathetic people who deny even the very basis of their own identity. lol
Honestly, "Korean Age" is not Korean-made; it is a derivative of the Lunar counting age originating from the mainland. Neighboring countries like Mongolia, China, Japan, North Korea, and Taiwan discarded it long ago, but it seems there are still cases where people distort it as if it were their own life cycle through "N+1 year" building/object age based on the solar calendar, gaslighting others.
For reference, other Eastern countries like North Korea and Vietnam have unified to Current Year - Birth Year (N). Claiming you've been "doing your business" for two years just because you went into the bathroom on Dec 31 and came out on Jan 1 is a form of collective totalitarian cognitive dissonance—something even the Communist Party wouldn't do.
(Not age from the womb, but faith in the mainland-origin Lunar zodiac, Pig/Dog rankings, the 12 zodiac signs, and Saju-palja. Not "Yoon Suk-yeol age," but a collective phantom of totalitarian materialism that captures people in human-grade labeling that even China has abandoned, denying individual life cycles.)
Is there any reason to care about the opinions of those who deny their own roots? The answer is for everyone to wake up.

What is called "Korean Age"... its identity is the counting age, counting one by one from one's birth zodiac sign until the Year of the Horse after the Lunar New Year in 2026 based on the Lunar Spring.
It seems that in the past, during times of high mortality and inaccurate concepts of time or calendar distribution among civilians, people would not register their births for several years, and when they tried to report to the government after forgetting their birthdays, they defined human identity by zodiac signs, leading to this.
In pre-Meiji Japan, at places like shrines, everyone would collectively "eat a year" during the Lunar New Year or Spring to welcome the new year or pray for a safe year without disasters like earthquakes or famine, but this is strictly a concept of advancing one's age regardless of one's actual life process and identity.
I suspect this is an East Asian Lunar calculation method originating from Tibet or mainland China.
But the reason why only South Korea clings to and believes in this like a religion, even though neighboring countries have all discarded it, is because age is being collectively distorted as a tool for rank and authority (where higher is better) rather than as an identity.
It is not about being "thankful you were born"; it is a calculation that gives no meaning to an individual's birth. A totalitarian faith. An unblessed birth. A collective madness/religious delusion that other countries do not practice.
One must find their own identity within the fake society of "Little China" and "Joseon."

If it were me, I would say, "I was born in month M of year [Year], so (Current Year - Birth Year = N) + M months. Do you still add 1 or 2 years here?"
If you want to be brief, just use "Man age" (international age) without adding "years." If they force the mainland calculation on you, ask them, "Why are you asking my age? Are you still living a fake life, bound by a totalitarian faith that even China and North Korea have abandoned?" then explain the content of the post/link.
If someone says what year they were born, I will call them by the age of (Current Year - Birth Year = N) as if it were their birthday.

Looking at it, terms like "Hyung," "Dongsaeng," and "Unnie" are all Hanja-based. Honorifics exist in North Korea, China, and Japan, but they aren't used much outside of relatives, and even in the Joseon era, it was just upper and lower classes.
Even the current 70s and 80s generation wasn't as extreme about 1 or 2 years as it is now. They were strict about grade/workplace/seniority rather than age. Claiming two years passed just because you were in the bathroom is a level of collective totalitarianism even the Communist Party wouldn't attempt.
For reference, other Eastern countries like North Korea and Vietnam have unified to (Current Year - Birth Year). In Japan, there is a concept of being the same age from April to the following March. Communication is symmetrical using honorifics/semi-honorifics/plain speech depending on mutual respect and closeness. One should refrain from complete informal speech or slang (using "Nim" or "Ssaem"). The problem is the "Little China/Joseon" mindset that distorts age into a rank/authority rather than an individual's identity and life cycle. Other than that, it's an IQ below an elementary student who can't do 2026 - Birth Year.
And it's not "Korean Age," but the Chinese-origin Lunar counting age/zodiac system that neighboring countries and even North Korea have discarded—it's just animal-grade labeling. Because South Koreans are stubbornly clinging to this bad custom that neighbors discarded, it became "Korean Age."

Even North Korea uses international age... Japan, Taiwan, North Korea, and even the suzerain China discarded the bad custom of Lunar counting age (claiming two years passed just because you entered the bathroom on 12/31 and came out on 1/1) over 60 years ago. Only in South Korea are people denying their own fundamental birthdays and desperately trying to act older than their actual life cycle, suffering from collective cognitive dissonance and a group delusion.
It is a fact that January 1st is not everyone's fundamental origin, and no one ever threatened everyone to "eat a year" at the same time.^^
The collective cognitive dissonance of "Little China/Joseon" which doesn't even have the intelligence of a kindergarten student who can do subtraction. lol

The Lunar counting age originating from China is a bad custom of labeling, discrimination, and prejudice—a totalitarian way to ignore an individual's birth and personality. It was discarded by other countries long ago. There is social waste due to laws, and many people are forced into "accelerated aging" by 1 or 2 years compared to other countries, along with massive side effects like using age for power trips and discrimination rather than respecting individual personality. It is a Chinese-origin bad custom disguised as "Gukppong" (extreme nationalism) that other Eastern countries discarded long ago.
It wasn't created by [Politician Name], but passed by bipartisan agreement following the will of the people, helping the country live without "age-related mental illness." But instead of realizing this and fixing it into a culture of mutual respect, the low-class totalitarian nature of the "Little China/Joseon" citizens is to cling to the fake phantom until the end. lol

(Summary)
1. Counting age is a Saju-palja/zodiac faith originating from Tibet and mainland China (a belief in "eating a year" early at the Lunar New Year out of a desire to prolong life because of high mortality/short lifespans). It is not an individual's life cycle and lacks respect for personal identity, which is why neighboring countries like Japan, Taiwan, and North Korea discarded it long ago.
2. The reason why South Koreans treat this "animal-grade" Chinese bad custom as a "Korean Age" religion is to distort age into a social stigma and class system to justify discrimination and power trips, rather than respecting an individual's life. It is a totalitarian phantom that does not recognize individual time. Who a person is is more important than their age rank.
3. There is a need to reform titles and language toward finding oneself and respecting the existence of others. Normal people who can do 2026 - Birth Year discarded this Chinese bad custom long ago.
