I have deeply resonated with Park Moon-sung's words for a long time.

I have continuously pointed out that coaching positions in Korean football
are not attained through merit,
but rather serve as a retirement pension for those who were prominent national team players in their youth.
“Even if a player wasn't famous during their playing days but became a great manager through hard work and study, the football community will deny them opportunities by asking, ‘Where did you play?’ or ‘Which lineage are you from?’”
I don't particularly like Park Moon-sung, nor do I find him personally likable,
but I believe these words pierce through to the very essence of the current state of Korean football.
