The Trot industry is hitting a limit because it's too focused on audition programs

No translation in your language yet — showing the English version

In China, because there is no established idol ecosystem, they just keep cycling through audition programs. Then, as soon as they get a chance to act, they deliver terrible performances and get criticized.
The Korean Trot industry is heading in that same direction.
All their capabilities are being poured into broadcasting station audition shows.
As a result, they aren't spending energy on places that create new, high-quality songs,
and various other issues arise.
Everyone seems to have the mindset of making a quick fortune over the next 2–3 years while the Trot boom lasts and then moving on.
On top of that, for broadcasting stations, it's a profitable business: they run audition programs, pick a Top 7, sign them to 2-year contracts, and take quite high commissions from their nationwide event appearances.
The point is, since the Trot audition craze took off, the Trot music industry is actually dying.
